EMPOWERING ATHLETES OF ALL ABILITIES TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAM

Join us for a day of fun on Saturday, May 14, 2022 for Laura’s Love Memorial Event, a fun community event to raise funds that directly benefit the South Shore YMCA LOB-STARS adaptive tennis team and inclusion programs.

Laura’s Love has something for everyone, with a pickleball tournament, cornhole tournament, unified doubles and mixed doubles tennis tournaments, plus a NEW Family ColorFun 3k Run with carnival games, K9 demonstration, obstacle course…and more!

Stephen Hall Memorial Mixed Doubles Tournament

This year’s Mixed Doubles Tournament honors longtime South Shore YMCA Board Member Steve Hall, an avid tennis player and active Y member who lost his battle with non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2020. Steve was a proud supporter of the Lob-Stars, and is deeply missed by our Y community.

NEW! FAMILY COLOR-FUN RUN

This year we are extending Laura’s Love to include some colorful day of fun at our Family ColorFun Run! Start with a white t-shirt and run the 3k loop (1.86 miles) around the Emilson YMCA campus where you’ll be showered with a rainbow of colorful powder along the way. The event ends with carnival games, obstacle courses, and K-9 demonstrations for families to enjoy together.

All Laura’s Love participants and their guests are invited to join us for food and drinks at Laura’s Center for the Arts on the Emilson YMCA campus for an awards presentation and celebration.
